well i wore my shirt backwards today and didnt even realize it.

serious.

thankfully it was just a plain black long sleeved shirt that really didnt have a distinction between front and back besides the part on the BACK that says GAP and my size which i wont mention CAUSE ITS THE INTERNET AND EVERYONE READS THIS.

anyways. i wore it backwards. thats kinda how my life seems to be going lately.

right now all i can think about is this weekend and how i am going to huntington beach to be with those i LOVE most on Valentines day. meaning of course my parents. Lizzie. and my grandpa, Baca.

you see Valentines day is my fourth favorite holiday. after thanksgiving, christmas, and the 4th of july. everyone always gets so bitter and is like. " I HATE valentines day..blah blah blah blah." oh whatever. i have NEVER had a boyfriend on valentines day and have enjoyed several very very happy valentines days. it is just a great holiday in general. LOVE. Pink. gifts. happiness. and this valentines day is on a SUNDAY so i am expecting lots of LOVE/ROMANTIC talks in church. i kinda wish i was speaking in church this sunday actually...lots and lots of potential there. especially in a BYU swingles ward. too bad i will be in HUNTINGTON BEACH. and attending the Huntington Beach 7th ward. yeshhhh. which is ALWAYS a good time.

beach. beach. beach. all i have to do is get through ONE genetics test on thursday and i will be heading for 7o degree, sunny weather and BLISS. this genetics class is KILLING me right now cause its all these Pre-Med guys and me (and they are ALL already married somehow..dang it) trying to get an A in the class. and they are M-O-T-I-V-A-T-E-D. its stressful. way stressful. today i was looking at my class schedule for graduating. which pretty much consists of this semester. and then 3 classes in the fall. and then i am done. done. done. and then what... no idea. gahhhhhh. anyways. for now i will just think about my genetics test and the beach this weekend. and valentines day. oh and the OLYMPICS!!!!! yes. and good night from provo.

snow shoeing.

so this is my fourth winter at BYU. i have done most of the wintery things that zoobies do to keep themselves entertained in the below freezing weather we have been sentenced to live in. sledding. ice skating. snow ball fights. snowman building. and of course skiing. went skiing today in fact. it was GREAT. seriously the greatest snow on earth. so dry. so light. so fabulous. however up until this last weekend i had yet to go snow shoeing. sounded miserable to me. walking in the snow for fun...i do that to get to class WHYYY would i need to strap tennis racquets to my feet and go climb a mountain. i would rather RIDE a lift UP a mountain and SKI down. much more enjoyable.

anyways i had to go snow shoeing with my religion and the environment class (yes thats a class. go byu) on Saturday and i had a WONDERFUL time. i actually feel bad i havent been snow shoeing the whole time i have been here. it snowed a lot the night before so we had fresh powder to tromp through. we hiked up rock canyon to the overlook of the campground for about an hour and a half. i was in front for a while. making the first path...pushing the snow down a foot. it was crazy. my legs hadn't hurt that bad in a long time. and turns out you dont even strap tennis racquets to your feet...

Park City Weekend.

had a great family dinner up in park city last weekend. i love family. nothing is better then spending time with people who care about you and who you care about. it was filled with pizza and cupcakes. living room games and catching up. a fancy park city house and NO celebrity sightings. and most especially us not dying in a snowstorm driving home to provo (thanks nate! cousin cami's fabulous driver husband)

The fort

On Sunday me and Katie and Melissa were lying around wondering what to do and we had the genius idea to build a fort. So we did. And it was awesome. And has been up since Sunday. Tonight i got sick of crawling through it whenever I wanted to go to the kitchen. So I tore it down. And that was the end of the fort.

never mind. im breaking my new year's resolution.

i am not blogging everyday. i am not that dedicated.

also i broke another one today.

dont go in the library until February

(this one was kind of dumb in retrospect)

i have also broken:

-dont eat anything with sugar in it ever again

and

- go to bed every night before 10 pm

oh well.

BYU won against UNLV tonight.

it was AMAZING

and i was on the JUMBOTRON. that my friends is blog-worthy.

anna moves to my favorite 27 Palace Court tomorrow.

ski day

i went skiing today. i love skiing. i am not very good at it. AT ALL. but i still love it. good thing i am in utah for ski season which just happens to have the greatest snow on earth. granted i have never really skied anywhere besides utah...except of course the las vegas ski and snowboard resort which i guarantee you does not even come close to utah snow. anyways today was a grand day skiing. mainly cause i didnt die. any day i dont die skiing we count as a success.

ps sister anna leaves for london is two days. i am SO excited for her!
